March 27th, 2024
Several St. Martin’s athletes have been recognized by the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) for their academic achievements.
The LHSAA All-Academic Award Program recognizes the academic excellence of senior student-athletes who have attained a 3.5 grade point average or higher by placing them on the Composite All-Academic Team or Class All-Academic Team.
To earn Composite Team honors, a student-athlete’s six-semester GPA must have an un-weighted 4.00. The composite team (all un-weighted 4.0 students) will be honored at the LHSAA state events. These students cannot even have an "B" on their transcript. Senior Jophie LaForge (basketball) was named to the Composite All-Academic Team.
In addition, the following Saints were named to Class All-Academic Teams: Emerson Arensman (basketball), Matthew Weaver (basketball), Thomas Garvey (soccer), Madison Granger (soccer), Cole Mathas (soccer), Carter Scheuermann (soccer), Reilly Velasquez (soccer).
