Dear Lower School Parents,

The success of a child's experience in school is dependent upon a healthy partnership between the parents and teachers. This relationship is founded on mutually agreed-upon goals and expectations that will ensure an effective learning environment for your child. Open two-way communication is essential.

One of the first important steps in this partnership is the Lower School Parents' Evening. This coming Thursday, August 26th at 7p.m. will provide you the opportunity to meet your child's teachers and to hear their plans for this year, to visit the classrooms, and to get to know other Lower School parents. Please keep in mind that this is an event that is geared toward parents and is not appropriate for your children to attend.

In an effort to help those of you with more than one child in Lower School, I have divided up the evening to make it possible for you to get to the sessions you need to attend more easily. On the schedule below, please note that there's ample opportunity to visit with our resource teachers as well.

August 26th (Thursday) 7:00 - 9:00p.m.

7:00p.m. Welcome and introductions (Solomon Theater)
7:35-8:05p.m. PK-2nd Grade presentations (Classrooms)
Resource teachers (Classrooms)
Light refreshments (LS Library)
8:05-8:35p.m. 3rd-5th Grade presentations (Classrooms)
Resource teachers (Classrooms)
Light refreshments (LS Library)
8:35-9:00pm. Teachers will be in classrooms or LS Library

We plan to begin the evening promptly at 7:00p.m. so that parents will be able to have enough time to walk to the Lower School. This is always an informative and fun evening, so please start the year off right and plan on joining us. Thank you.
