November 27th, 2023
Several St. Martin’s athletes have been recognized by the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) for their academic achievements. Seniors Gabby Rubin (volleyball) and Cole Angerer (cross country) were named to the All-Academic Composite Team.
The LHSAA All-Academic Award Program recognizes the academic excellence of senior student-athletes who have attained a 3.5 grade point average or higher by placing them on the Composite All-Academic Team or Class All-Academic Team.
To earn Composite Team honors, a student-athlete’s six-semester GPA must have an un-weighted 4.00. The composite team (all un-weighted 4.0 students) will be honored at the LHSAA state events. These students cannot even have an "B" on their transcript.
In addition, the following Saints were named to the Academic Class Team: Emerson Arensman (volleyball), Manny Bejaran (football), Thomas Garvey (cross country), Dominic Hogan (football), Alex Pevey (volleyball), and Carter Scheuermann (cross country).
