With an expansive 18-acre campus unique in the metropolitan New Orleans region, St. Martin’s provides many and varied spaces both indoors and outdoors where students can learn, explore, and thrive.
At St. Martin’s, the entire campus is our students’ classroom. Whether they’re enjoying our picturesque 18-acre campus filled with mature live oaks and beautiful greenspace, honing their skills in our spacious athletic facilities, exploring their creativity in state-of-the-art spaces for performing and visual arts, or expanding their horizons in the innovative Gibbs Family Center for Innovation + Design, our students benefit from every part of our expansive campus.
St. Martin’s is in the heart of Metairie, which was recently named one of America’s 50 Best Cities to Live — New Orleans’ first suburb to receive that distinction.
“St. Martin’s is blessed with a campus that’s amazing. Nobody else comes close.”
— Bob Merrick ’62
Dan and Frances White Chapel
The spiritual home of our campus is our beloved chapel. Built in 1978, the Dan and Frances White Chapel is a beautiful centerpiece of St. Martin's campus. Alumnus Milton Pounds ’64 designed the chapel's 10 stained glass windows depicting scenes from the Old Testament and New Testament. Students and faculty from all across the campus and from all faith backgrounds love to gather and worship in this sacred space.
Merrick Visual Arts Center
With 2,800 square feet of space, the Merrick Fine Arts Building holds a ceramics studio, two 2D drawing studios, a Lower School art room, and a beautiful naturally-lit center display gallery.
