St. Martin’s Episcopal School’s Summer Theatre Camp offers a premier musical theatre education for students across the metro New Orleans area. Our program challenges and inspires young performers in a supportive, welcoming environment. Open to students in grades rising 3rd-rising 8th, we provide individual attention and an engaging experience, ensuring that every child feels encouraged to grow and shine.

Participants work closely with professional artistic staff, gaining invaluable insight and experience in musical theatre, culminating in a live performance in St. Martin’s state-of-the-art Solomon Theater.

Journey "under the sea" with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney's The Little Mermaid JR., adapted from Disney's Broadway production and the motion picture (featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming book and lyrics). Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance.

In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home — and her fins — behind and live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she's the girl whose enchanting voice he's been seeking.

Parent & Camper Meeting and Audition

May 17, 2025, 9:00-9:30 a.m.: Parent & Camper Meeting

Join us for a required, essential overview of our upcoming theatre camp! This meeting will cover everything you need to know, including camp schedules, policies, expectations, and exciting highlights of the program. It’s also an opportunity to meet the directors, ask questions, and ensure your camper is set up for success. Attendance is mandatory to ensure everyone has the tools and information to make this a fantastic experience. We can’t wait to see you there!

9:30 a.m.-Noon: Camper Auditions

All campers will be part of the show! This audition helps us determine the perfect role for each camper. There's no need to prepare anything in advance—we’ll teach everything they need to know on the day of the audition!

2-4 p.m.: Callbacks

A Callback list will be posted at noon if needed. If you know your child will be absent for the auditions, please contact Lynne Bordelon in writing with the reasons why your child is unavailable. It is StM’s mission to give all students the opportunity to realize their full artistic potential. We do our best to accommodate families with schedule conflicts on the audition day.
