Two-Year-Olds Practice Early Math Skills Through Pretend Pizza-Making
October 3rd, 2024
Our George Cottage Twos have transformed their classroom kitchens into pizza kitchens. Students practiced counting, sorting, taking turns, cooperation, using their imaginations, and the process of making pretend pizzas. Using all of their new skills, they made real pizzas for a snack. To continue on their journey, they delivered their pizzas across campus, including delivering one to Mrs. Drennan. (And Mrs. Drennan is returning the favor by treating the Twos to a pizza lunch as well!) The act of filling orders and delivering the pizzas has helped students take their counting and sorting skills to the next level.
