December 4th, 2024
St. Martin’s senior Harlem Berry ’25, the No. 1 player in Louisiana and the No. 1 running back in the country, is officially a Louisiana State University Tiger! On National Early Signing Day (Wednesday, Dec. 4), in front of family, friends, classmates, and members of the St. Martin's community in the school's Adkerson Gymnasium, Harlem signed with LSU. At the same ceremony, Athletic Director Frank Gendusa announced that Harlem is the last Saint to wear No. 25 as St. Martin’s retired his football jersey. Congratulations, Harlem!
As a senior, Berry rushed for 2,178 yards and 41 touchdowns, also bringing in 20 receptions for 340 yards and an additional four scores. In total, his high school career rushing statistics sit at 8,571 yards and 142 touchdowns with 52 receptions and for 888 yards and 12 more touchdowns. Additionally, Berry returned three touchdowns on special teams and played a little defense throughout his career with 62 total tackles, five forced fumbles, six pass breakups and an interception he returned for a touchdown.
