George Cottage Threes Learn About Winter Animals via Hibernation Day
January 29th, 2025
For more than a decade, each winter in our George Cottage Threes classrooms, students and teachers have celebrated a beloved tradition—Hibernation Day! Our little Saints had so much fun bringing their study of arctic and winter animals to life! Dressed in cozy pajamas and armed with flashlights and stuffed animals, they transformed their classrooms into caves, pretending to be hibernating bears and other animals. As they explored, they engaged in hands-on activities like making “snow,” building arctic homes on the light table, and even acting out how bears hibernate. Flashlights added an extra layer of curiosity, sparking discussions about light and shadows. It was a fun-filled day of imaginative learning!
